Following the announcement of our first partnership last month, we are delighted to announce the continued growth of The Indoor Hockey League; this time to Dorset. The Indoor Hockey League has been established to provide an accessible, informal and sociable but competitive hockey playing opportunity. Firstly to enable those players unable to commit to traditional club hockey an opportunity to continue to engage with the sport and also to provide players; senior and junior - the opportunity to access (guaranteed dry and warm), regular and competitive indoor hockey.
Established in Bristol in 2018 The Indoor Hockey League has engaged with over 500 players in its first two years before the pandemic hit. The lockdown periods provided time to evaluate and plan the future direction of The Indoor Hockey League - Essentially we decided that more people should have access to the informal, social and competitive Indoor Hockey that The Indoor Hockey Leagues have to offer! As a result, we are delighted to announce that The Indoor Hockey League is coming to Dorset, Liz Roberts will head up the league operations in Dorset. Liz has worked in sports development and PE teaching for years and is an all round sports nut! Stacey Androlah from The Indoor Hockey League said "I am delighted to be able to announce that we will be working with Liz to bring The Indoor Hockey League to Dorset. This has been in the planning since before Covid hit, so we are excited to finally get going. Liz is great, has so much enthusiasm for sport and brings a great deal of experience to The Indoor Hockey League..” Liz Roberts said “ I’m thrilled to be a part of this exciting project and hopefully create many more sporting opportunities for our community in Dorset” The Indoor Hockey League - Dorset this Summer with leagues for men and women and junior teams.
