The Indoor Hockey League is delighted to announce its first partnership. The Indoor Hockey League and PerfX Hockey will be working together to bring the opportunity of social, informal but competitive indoor hockey to people across the West Midlands.

The Indoor Hockey League has been established to provide an accessible, informal and sociable but competitive hockey playing opportunity. Firstly to enable those players unable to commit to traditional club hockey an opportunity to continue to engage with the sport and also to provide players; senior and junior - the opportunity to access (guaranteed dry and warm), regular and competitive indoor hockey.

Established in Bristol in 2018 The Indoor Hockey League has engaged with over 500 players in its first two years before the pandemic hit. The lockdown periods provided time to evaluate and plan the future direction of The Indoor Hockey League - Essentially we decided that more people should have access to the informal, social and competitive Indoor Hockey offer that The Indoor Hockey Leagues have to offer!

Stacey Androlah from The Indoor Hockey League said "It is great to finally be able to announce this partnership. It is fantastic to be working with such like minded guys at PerfX Hockey who, like us, are very focused on creating opportunities for as many people as possible to engage in the sport we love.”

Stephen Williams: Director of Hockey at PerfX Hockey said “We are delighted to be partnering with The Indoor Hockey League on this incredible initiative as we look into alternative ways to have an impact on growing the sport. We are big supporters of Indoor Hockey and we believe this partnership will give us an opportunity to help grow participation within the indoor game. Furthermore, this partnership will see us remove many of the common barriers found in accessibility, reaching a much wider audience than ever before. Indoor Hockey has never been this open to all until now. We are very excited to get going in the near future.”

The Indoor Hockey League - West Midlands will be starting this Spring with leagues for men and women teams. For more information please visit www.theindoorhockeyleague.co.uk/west-midlands
